Memorial Day in Texas

The Tuesday before Memorial Day weekend we loaded up the Minis and headed south! Well, South West anyway.  We went to the Buffalo Clover ranch to visit my brother and his family. I must say our minis travel REALLY well! For this we are very very thankful!

 The first 2-3 hours were spent crashed out asleep! I kept them up and we left during what would normally be nap time. It worked like a charm. When Clara woke up she started reading. So cute!

 Later we broke out the cd players and head phones. They LOVED this! It is cool that they are old enough to appreciate this privilege! Ben got so excited he said he was going to wear them the ENTIRE way to JL's house, and he almost did!

 The first order of business Tuesday morning was coloring with cousins. We arrived on the Ranch about 2 am and were glad for some down time.

Have I mentioned how much Clara loves cats? No? Well, Clara REALLY LOVES cats! She wore poor Shooter and Beauty out! They are a good endorsement for cats I must say. She picked them up and hauled them around put their food in their water bowl and stared at them while they ate. They never once hissed or scratched!! (no, we are not getting a cat.)

 Pony Brushing, and Horse Rides!! Life is good!

 Clara tried to hep gather the eggs. Poncho likes her help.

 Visited James' school. This is kind of typical, Ben with the group, Pete doing her own thing!

 Snack time on the boat, fish and water. So appropriate!

 This was an EPIC day on the boat! 6 strait hours! the kids were CHAMPS!! and it was SO FUN!

Good food, good family, good fun! We have missed the ranch and it's occupants! A LOT!!
