The day afer the storm...

This is the Budweiser plant down town. you can see in the top right corner that is a semi truck with water up to the top of the wheel wells. The at is also a full semi truck, the trailer is attached but I couldn't get a good picture of that.

This is Old Country Auto. From what I have been told on Saturday these trucks were completely submerged.

This is a sink hole that opened up on the street that the hospital Matt works at is on. It swallowed a full size SUV. Thankfully the driver was successfully rescued!! The large logs and ties are holding up the utility lines to prevent them from snapping until the road can be repaired. It is roughly 20 feet wide and 12 feet deep.

If you look closely you can see an SUV in the middle of this large water area, it is an intersection! Again, the people were safely rescued, their car... not so much.

If you are familiar with Jackson at all this photo will mean more to you. This is the intersection of Airways Blvd and the 45 By-pass, a very large intersection that was completely submerged Saturday, and still impassable on Sunday evening.

This building earlier in the day was completely submerged. Just one of the many businesses completely destroyed.

In spite of all this damage we feel blessed and are praying for the folks in Nashville. The Cumberland river that runs through Nashville is still rising. The Grand Old Opry is under several feet of water as is the hall were the Nashville Symphony plays and the Country Music Hall of Fame. It will take millions if not billions of dollars and man hours to get one of the countries great cities put back together.
